The problem
The staging is right and the layout works, but a tired sofa or a dated wood tone pulls the whole frame down. Furniture facelift renders the finish the buyer would actually choose — new fabric, new leather, new stain, new paint — so the photo carries the room without a delivery truck or a reupholstery bill.
Pick the piece — sofa, armchairs, dining chairs, bed frame, tables, or cabinets — and the finish — velvet, linen, leather, bouclé, light oak, walnut, ebony, or matte paint. The new surface wraps the existing form and keeps every leg, seam, and cushion exactly where it was.
The standard
- Only the surface material changes. Each piece keeps its exact shape, proportions, and position in the room.
- Legs, hardware, cushions, and frames stay put — the new fabric or finish wraps the form, it never reshapes it.
- Reflections, sheen, and contact shadows update to the new material under the room's existing light.
The handoff
Hi-res JPG paired with the original, so the seller can see the piece they own beside the piece they could have. The manifest notes which furniture and finish were rendered.
Companion tools
Furniture facelift belongs to the Staging & furniture group — the room is right, the furniture lets it down. Companion tools handle the other one-pass refreshes on the same room.
When Vesta runs it
Used inside the Fixer-Upper Concept bundle when the furniture surfaces, not the room itself, are what date the listing.
Field notes
Read the studio note on finishes that hold up at room scale — fabric weave, wood grain, and believable sheen.
